Description

These Apple Crescent Rolls are an easy, 25-minute dessert filled with tender cinnamon-spiced apples wrapped in buttery crescent dough. A cozy, quick treat that tastes like mini apple pies

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar or caramel sauce, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Apples: In a medium bowl, toss sliced apples with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt until evenly coated.
  3. Assemble Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Place one or two apple slices on the wide end of each triangle. Roll tightly toward the point to form crescents.
  4. Bake: Arrange rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush lightly with any remaining butter mixture. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  5. Serve: Allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balance of sweetness and tang.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking.
  • Add a drizzle of caramel or cream cheese glaze for indulgence.
  • To make it sugar-free, use sugar substitutes like stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an air fryer or oven for best texture.
