These Apple Crescent Rolls are an easy, 25-minute dessert filled with tender cinnamon-spiced apples wrapped in buttery crescent dough. A cozy, quick treat that tastes like mini apple pies
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
- 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar or caramel sauce, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Apples: In a medium bowl, toss sliced apples with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt until evenly coated.
- Assemble Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Place one or two apple slices on the wide end of each triangle. Roll tightly toward the point to form crescents.
- Bake: Arrange rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush lightly with any remaining butter mixture. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve: Allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balance of sweetness and tang.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking.
- Add a drizzle of caramel or cream cheese glaze for indulgence.
- To make it sugar-free, use sugar substitutes like stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an air fryer or oven for best texture.
