Description

A simple baked dessert made with flour tortillas, apple pie filling, butter, and cinnamon sugar. Crispy on the outside and warm inside, these taquitos are perfect for quick desserts or sharing.


Ingredients

  • 20 ounces apple pie filling (1 can)
  • 12 medium soft flour tortillas
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Warm tortillas slightly so they are flexible.
  3. Spoon apple pie filling evenly across one side of each tortilla.
  4. Roll tortillas tightly and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush taquitos generously with melted butter.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over each taquito.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning once halfway, until golden and crisp.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Chop apple slices smaller for easier rolling.
  • For extra crispiness, place taquitos on a wire rack over the baking sheet.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce if desired.
