Description
Spooky and delicious, these Apple Spider Web Pops are the perfect Halloween treat! Easy to make, kid-friendly, and healthier than candy apples.
Ingredients
- 3 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Gala)
- 1 cup dark or milk chocolate (melted)
- 1 cup white chocolate or white candy melts (melted)
- 8–10 lollipop sticks or wooden skewers
- Wax or parchment paper
- Candy spiders or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Slice into ½-inch thick rounds, removing seeds. Insert a lollipop stick into each slice.
- Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl (30-second intervals, stirring in between) until smooth.
- Dip apple slices into melted chocolate, coating evenly. Place on parchment paper to set.
- Melt white chocolate separately. Transfer to a piping bag or small plastic bag with a tip cut off.
- Pipe spider web designs over the chocolate-coated apples.
- Optional: Add candy spiders or sprinkles before chocolate sets.
- Let pops harden at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results.
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a sweet-tart balance.
- Make sure apples are completely dry before dipping to help chocolate stick.
- Add food coloring to white chocolate for orange or purple webs.
- Serve the same day for best crunch and freshness.
