Creamy, zesty, and fresh, this avocado salsa is perfect for chips, tacos, bowls, or as a flavorful side.
Ingredients
- 6 medium roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1–2 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
- 3–4 ripe but semi-firm avocados, peeled, cored, and diced
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon salt, more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ cup cilantro leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Dice tomatoes and onions, and finely chop jalapeños and garlic.
- Dice avocados and gently fold them with the vegetables in a large bowl.
- Add lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix carefully to avoid mashing avocado.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

- Adjust jalapeño quantity for desired heat.
- Squeeze extra lime juice over leftovers to slow browning.
- Combine avocado with other vegetables just before serving for maximum freshness.
