Description

Creamy, zesty, and fresh, this avocado salsa is perfect for chips, tacos, bowls, or as a flavorful side.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 12 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
  • 34 ripe but semi-firm avocados, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ cup cilantro leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Dice tomatoes and onions, and finely chop jalapeños and garlic.
  2. Dice avocados and gently fold them with the vegetables in a large bowl.
  3. Add lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix carefully to avoid mashing avocado.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño quantity for desired heat.
  • Squeeze extra lime juice over leftovers to slow browning.
  • Combine avocado with other vegetables just before serving for maximum freshness.
