Description

Sweet, smoky, and savory — these bacon wrapped smokies with brown sugar are the ultimate party appetizer. Easy to make with just 3 ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 oz) little smokies (cocktail sausages)
  • 1 lb regular cut bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • Optional: ½ tsp cayenne pepper or smoked paprika for spice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Cut bacon into thirds.
  • Wrap smokies with bacon pieces and secure with toothpicks.
  • Coat each wrapped smokie in brown sugar, pressing lightly so it sticks.
  • Arrange on wire rack, seam side down.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and sugar is caramelized.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use regular cut bacon for best crispiness.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar for a sweet-spicy flavor.
  • For extra stickiness, brush with maple syrup halfway through baking.
  • Prep ahead: Assemble the night before, refrigerate, and bake when ready.
