Description

Make the ultimate BBQ chicken pizza at home with smoky barbecue sauce, juicy chicken, melty cheese, and fresh toppings—ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce, divided
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for crust)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional toppings: cheddar cheese, jalapeños, pineapple, smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Toss chicken with half of the BBQ sauce until fully coated.
  3. Shape dough into a 12-inch circle or rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Assemble pizza: Brush crust edges with olive oil, spread remaining BBQ sauce over the base, sprinkle mozzarella, add BBQ chicken, and top with red onion slices.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use smoked gouda with mozzarella for a richer flavor.
  • Make it spicy by adding jalapeños or using a hot BBQ sauce.
  • If using pre-made crust, reduce baking time to avoid overcooking.
  • For extra crispiness, pre-bake the crust for 3–4 minutes before adding toppings.
