Description
A creamy, no-bake dessert dip that tastes exactly like rich brownie batter — made with cream cheese, Cool Whip, and dry brownie mix, then loaded with mini chocolate chips. Ready in 10 minutes and perfect for parties, potlucks, or anytime a chocolate craving strikes.
Ingredients
Dip
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz Cool Whip
- 18 oz box brownie mix, dry
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
For Dipping
- Graham crackers
- Pretzels
- Chopped fruit
Instructions
- Beat the cream cheese. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer on medium speed until completely smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Make sure there are no lumps before moving on — this is the base of your dip.
- Add the brownie mix and milk. Add the dry brownie mix and the 2 tablespoons of milk to the cream cheese. Beat on low speed until fully combined. The mixture will be thick at this stage — that is exactly what you want.
- Fold in the Cool Whip. Add the Cool Whip and gently fold it into the brownie mixture using a spatula. Do not beat — folding keeps the dip light and airy rather than dense.
- Add the chocolate chips. Fold in the mini chocolate chips, reserving a small handful to sprinkle on top for presentation.
- Serve. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, scatter the reserved chocolate chips on top, and serve immediately with graham crackers, pretzels, and chopped fruit for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before beating — cold cream cheese will leave lumps that are difficult to smooth out.
- For a firmer dip that scoops more cleanly, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
- Any flavor of brownie mix works here — fudge, dark chocolate, or even a cheesecake swirl variety for a fun twist.
