Description

A soft, cheesy buffalo ranch bake topped with buttery crushed pretzels for a savory, flavorful appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 3/4 cup crushed pretzels
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk buttermilk, sour cream, melted butter, and eggs until smooth. Mix in cream cheese until combined.
  3. Stir in buffalo sauce and ranch seasoning.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Pour batter into prepared dish and spread evenly.
  7. Mix crushed pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
  9. Cool slightly, garnish with chives if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust buffalo sauce for more or less heat.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the texture soft.
  • Reheat in the oven to keep the pretzel topping crisp.
