Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning powder
- 3/4 cup crushed pretzels
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk buttermilk, sour cream, melted butter, and eggs until smooth. Mix in cream cheese until combined.
- Stir in buffalo sauce and ranch seasoning.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour batter into prepared dish and spread evenly.
- Mix crushed pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool slightly, garnish with chives if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust buffalo sauce for more or less heat.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the texture soft.
- Reheat in the oven to keep the pretzel topping crisp.
