Description

A hearty, cheesy, one-pan dinner featuring crispy ranch potatoes, savory smoked sausage, and melted cheddar. Easy, comforting, and family-friendly.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the halved potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the sliced smoked sausage and spread everything into a single layer.
  4. Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until potatoes are golden.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top and return to the oven for 5–7 minutes, until melted.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t crowd the baking sheet—use two pans for extra crispiness.
  • Swap cheddar for Monterey Jack, pepper jack, or mozzarella.
  • Add bell peppers, onions, or zucchini for a veggie boost.
  • Turkey or chicken sausage also work well.
