Description

Cheesy, creamy chicken bacon ranch tater tot casserole — the ultimate comfort food dinner. Quick to make, family-friendly, and loaded with crispy tots, tender chicken, and smoky bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and ranch seasoning.
  3. Stir in chicken, bacon, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the filling.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the tots.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots alone for 10 minutes before assembling the casserole.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.

  • Mix in vegetables like peas, corn, or broccoli for added nutrition.

  • Add a drizzle of buffalo sauce for a spicy kick.
