Description

Chicken Parmesan Casserole is the ultimate comfort food made simple. Juicy chicken pieces are layered with marinara sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and a crunchy breadcrumb topping, then baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast (cubed or shredded)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned or panko)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley or basil (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven – Set to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken – Use cooked chicken (grilled, baked, or rotisserie). Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Layer the casserole – Spread half the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Add the chicken, then top with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.
  4. Make breadcrumb topping – Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil (or butter) and Italian seasoning. Sprinkle on top of the casserole.
  5. Bake – Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Garnish & serve – Sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
