Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are a fun and delicious twist on your classic breakfast favorites! Fluffy cinnamon rolls are transformed into sweet, crispy French toast roll-ups, coated in a warm cinnamon-sugar blend, and drizzled with creamy icing.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Unroll the cinnamon rolls and flatten each piece with a rolling pin.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  • Roll each cinnamon roll piece back into a tight roll.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon for coating.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Dip each roll into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated, and cook in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove from the skillet and immediately roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Drizzle with the icing from the cinnamon rolls and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use any type of cinnamon rolls, but the classic ones with icing work best for this recipe.
  • For a fun twist, you can add a sprinkle of chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the cinnamon rolls before rolling them up.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute the whole milk with almond milk or any milk alternative.
  • Make sure to cook the roll-ups on medium heat to ensure the insides get fully cooked without burning the outside.
  • These are best served fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheat in the microwave.
