Description

Soft, chewy, and bursting with cotton candy flavor, these colorful cookies are perfect for parties, birthdays, or anytime you want a sweet treat that stands out.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp cotton candy flavoring (or extract)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Pink gel food coloring
  • Blue gel food coloring
  • Optional: sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and cotton candy flavoring until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients to form dough.
  5. Divide dough into two portions. Tint one pink and the other blue.
  6. Take small pieces of each color and press together to form marbled dough balls.
  7. Place dough balls on baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Cool 5 minutes on the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra carnival flair, roll dough balls in sprinkles before baking.
  • Do not overbake—cookies continue to set as they cool.
  • Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes if too soft to handle.
  • Store in an airtight container with a slice of bread to keep cookies soft.
  • Add white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
