Description
A bold, crispy stir-fry dinner that brings sweet, spicy, and savory flavors together in one satisfying bowl.
Ingredients
- 300g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped (or 1 tsp chilli paste)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Toss sliced beef in cornstarch until coated.
- Fry in hot oil until crispy; drain on paper towel.
- Sauté garlic and chilli in a little oil, then add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Return beef to the pan and coat in sauce.
- Serve over jasmine rice and top with spring onions.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust chilli to your heat preference.
- Use a non-stick pan or wok for even frying.
- Air fry the beef for a lighter version.
