Description

A bold, crispy stir-fry dinner that brings sweet, spicy, and savory flavors together in one satisfying bowl.


Ingredients

  • 300g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chilli, finely chopped (or 1 tsp chilli paste)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


Instructions

  • Toss sliced beef in cornstarch until coated.
  • Fry in hot oil until crispy; drain on paper towel.
  • Sauté garlic and chilli in a little oil, then add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  • Return beef to the pan and coat in sauce.
  • Serve over jasmine rice and top with spring onions.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust chilli to your heat preference.
  • Use a non-stick pan or wok for even frying.
  • Air fry the beef for a lighter version.
