Description

  • 2–3 lbs pork baby back ribs (or spare ribs)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs pork baby back ribs (or spare ribs)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  2. Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub evenly over ribs.
  3. Place ribs in the crockpot. Pour half of the BBQ sauce over them.
  4. Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until tender.
  5. Optional: Transfer ribs to a baking sheet, brush with extra sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes until caramelized.
  6. Serve warm with additional BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the ribs in a skillet before placing them in the crockpot.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar for a tangy kick.
  • Use honey barbecue sauce for a sweet glaze.
  • To store, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
