This Crockpot Chili Dog Casserole is a quick and easy comfort food that combines ground beef, hot dogs, tater tots, and melted cheese for a hearty, crowd-pleasing meal. Perfect for busy nights!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 hot dogs or smoked sausages, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat, and set aside.
  2. Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Slice the hot dogs into rounds.
  3. Spray the crockpot with cooking spray and layer the browned beef, hot dogs, onion, garlic, and chili seasoning.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes with green chilies, stirring to combine.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture, then top with frozen tater tots.
  6. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
