Description

This easy dirt pudding recipe with Oreo crumbs and gummy worms is a no-bake dessert perfect for parties, holidays, and family fun. Creamy, chocolatey, and whimsical!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 1216 gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos – Place cookies in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin or pulse in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Pudding – In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Cream Cheese Mixture – Beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping.
  4. Assemble – In cups or a large trifle bowl, layer Oreo crumbs, pudding mixture, and cream cheese mixture, repeating layers and ending with crumbs on top.
  5. Add Worms – Place gummy worms in the top layer, partially burying them in the “dirt.”
  6. Chill – Refrigerate for 1–2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use double-stuffed Oreos for a richer crumb layer.
  • For a spooky Halloween twist, add candy bones or edible tombstones.
  • Make individual servings in clear plastic cups for easy party presentation.
  • Crush cookies in advance and store in an airtight container to save time.
