Description
A moist and rich chocolate zucchini bread made with cocoa powder, fresh zucchini, and chocolate chips for a soft, flavorful loaf.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup shredded zucchini
- 1 ¼ cups chocolate chips (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in zucchini and 1 cup chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into pan and top with remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix to keep the bread soft and tender.
- Lightly pat zucchini dry, but keep some moisture for best texture.
- Add nuts or espresso powder for extra flavor variation.
