Description

Easy Chicken Lazone is a creamy, flavorful, one-pan recipe ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknights, this Louisiana-inspired dish pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning evenly over the chicken breasts.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, scraping the bottom of the pan to release the browned bits. Let simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and cook for another 3–4 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with pasta, rice, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness for quicker, more uniform cooking.
  • For a spicier dish, add extra cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • To lighten the sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Pair with garlic bread for the ultimate comfort meal.
  • Let the chicken rest in the sauce for a few minutes before serving to absorb maximum flavor.
