Description

These homemade watermelon popsicles are the ultimate summer treat—juicy, naturally sweet, and refreshing. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip them up in minutes and enjoy a guilt-free frozen snack that’s perfect for hot days, parties, or a quick after-school refreshment.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks (about 1 small melon)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Popsicle molds and sticks

Instructions

  1. Prep the watermelon – Cut into chunks, removing any seeds.
  2. Blend – In a blender, combine watermelon, lime juice, and honey/agave (if using). Blend until smooth.
  3. Optional strain – For smoother popsicles, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  4. Add extras – Stir in finely chopped mint or other fruit if desired.
  5. Pour into molds – Fill molds, leaving a little space at the top. Insert sticks.
  6. Freeze – Freeze for 4–6 hours or until solid.
  7. Unmold & serve – Run molds under warm water for a few seconds before removing popsicles.

Notes

  • Choose a very ripe watermelon for maximum sweetness.
  • For striped popsicles, freeze one layer of fruit puree at a time.
  • If you don’t have molds, use paper cups and wooden sticks.
  • Add a little coconut milk for a creamier, tropical flavor.
