Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French Bread (about 1 lb, 2021 inches long)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ½ cups pizza sauce
  • 2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 25 pepperoni slices (or toppings of choice)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Slice French bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Melt butter in a pan and combine with olive oil, garlic, oregano, and salt.
  3. Brush cut sides of bread with garlic mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over toasted bread. Top with mozzarella and pepperoni.
  5. Bake again for 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Slice and serve warm.

  • Toasting the bread before adding sauce keeps it from getting soggy.
