Description
Crispy, golden brioche slices filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberries, then pan-fried to warm, melty perfection.
Ingredients
- 8 slices brioche or challah bread
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp butter, for frying
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the sweetened cream cheese onto 4 slices of bread.
- Add a layer of strawberry jam and top with fresh strawberry slices.
- Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook each sandwich 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Notes
- Use brioche for the softest, richest texture.
- Add a drizzle of chocolate or warm syrup for extra sweetness.
- Freeze strawberries for a firmer filling before frying.
- Swap strawberries for blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries.
