Description

Crispy, golden brioche slices filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberries, then pan-fried to warm, melty perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Spread the sweetened cream cheese onto 4 slices of bread.
  3. Add a layer of strawberry jam and top with fresh strawberry slices.
  4. Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
  5. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  6. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  7. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Cook each sandwich 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use brioche for the softest, richest texture.
  • Add a drizzle of chocolate or warm syrup for extra sweetness.
  • Freeze strawberries for a firmer filling before frying.
  • Swap strawberries for blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries.
