Description

Savor the flavor of tender, juicy Garlic Butter Salmon Steak—a quick, 30-minute recipe made with rich butter, fresh garlic, and zesty lemon. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions!

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon steaks (fresh or thawed, skin on)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Red chili flakes (optional, for spice)

Instructions

  1. Prep the salmon:
Pat salmon steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat the pan:
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the salmon:
Place salmon steaks skin-side down. Sear for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.
  4. Make the garlic butter sauce:
Reduce heat to low. Add butter to the same pan. When melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add lemon juice:
Pour in lemon juice and swirl the pan to combine all flavors.
  6. Baste the salmon:
Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the salmon for 2–3 minutes, allowing it to soak up the buttery goodness.
  7. Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Dry the fish: Patting the salmon dry ensures a crispy, golden crust.
  • Use fresh garlic: It makes a world of difference in flavor.
  • Don’t overcook: Salmon is best when tender and slightly pink in the center.
  • Add lemon zest: For an extra pop of citrus freshness.
  • Pair smartly: Serve with mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, or rice for a balanced meal.
