Ingredients
For the Cod Strips
- 1 lb cod fillets, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for frying
For the Creamy Lemon Sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat cod dry and cut into strips.
- Set up breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Mix garlic, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper into breadcrumbs.
- Coat cod in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
- Fry cod strips for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Serve cod strips warm with creamy lemon sauce.

- Pat fish dry before breading for crispier coating.
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Bake or air fry for a lighter option.
