Description

A quick and healthy stir fry made with ground turkey, crisp vegetables, and a homemade teriyaki sauce for a flavorful one-pan meal.


Ingredients

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup water (divided)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp orange zest

Stir Fry:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, orange zest, and 1/2 cup water.
  2. Mix cornstarch with remaining water to form a slurry.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a pan and cook ground turkey until browned.
  4. Add onion, broccoli, and carrots; cook until tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in sauce, then add cornstarch slurry.
  6. Stir until sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
  7. Simmer briefly, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh ginger for better flavor.
  • Don’t overcook vegetables to keep them crisp.
  • Add chili flakes for a bit of heat.
