Ingredients
For the Deviled Eggs:
- 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
For Decoration:
- Purple food coloring + sliced pimento-stuffed green olives
- Orange food coloring + curly parsley
- Green food coloring + black sesame seeds
- Pitted whole black olives
Instructions
- Slice hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place them in a bowl.
- Mash yolks with a fork until smooth. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and salt. Mix until creamy.
- Divide the yolk mixture into four portions if making all varieties.
- Eyeball Deviled Eggs: Mix yolks with purple food coloring, fill whites, and top with green olive slices.
- Pumpkin Deviled Eggs: Mix yolks with orange coloring, fill whites, draw pumpkin lines with a toothpick, and garnish with parsley.
- Spooky Green Deviled Eggs: Mix yolks with green coloring, fill whites, and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
- Spider Deviled Eggs: Fill whites with plain yolk mixture, then use halved black olives for spider bodies and sliced olives for legs.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for richer colors with less liquid.
- To avoid crumbly yolks, use eggs that are a few days old before boiling.
