Description

Tender chicken simmered in a glossy honey garlic sauce that’s sweet, savory, and perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, pepper, and chili flakes.
  4. Pour sauce over chicken, reduce heat, and simmer 10–12 minutes.
  5. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  6. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add fresh ginger for extra depth of flavor.
  • Double the sauce for serving over rice or noodles.
