Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions (garnish)
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
- Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, pepper, and chili flakes.
- Pour sauce over chicken, reduce heat, and simmer 10–12 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve warm.

- Add fresh ginger for extra depth of flavor.
- Double the sauce for serving over rice or noodles.
