Description

Juicy seared chicken breasts coated in a sweet, tangy honey mustard sauce with garlic and two kinds of mustard. A quick, one-pan dinner that’s balanced, bold, and comforting.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Flatten chicken to even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix Dijon, whole grain mustard, honey, and garlic. Set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from pan. Add honey mustard sauce to the skillet, stirring and simmering for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return chicken to pan and coat with sauce. Let cook 1–2 more minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Pound chicken evenly to ensure even cooking.
  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier version.
  • Add a splash of cream to make the sauce extra rich.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.
