Description
Juicy seared chicken breasts coated in a sweet, tangy honey mustard sauce with garlic and two kinds of mustard. A quick, one-pan dinner that’s balanced, bold, and comforting.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Flatten chicken to even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix Dijon, whole grain mustard, honey, and garlic. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from pan. Add honey mustard sauce to the skillet, stirring and simmering for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to pan and coat with sauce. Let cook 1–2 more minutes. Serve warm.

- Pound chicken evenly to ensure even cooking.
- Use chicken thighs for a juicier version.
- Add a splash of cream to make the sauce extra rich.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.
