Description

This quick and creamy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce takes only minutes to make and uses simple pantry ingredients. Perfect for chicken tenders, sandwiches, pretzels, and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, preferably whole-egg
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 12 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt & white pepper (black pepper works too)

Instructions

  1. Combine the base. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey to a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add acidity. Stir in 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Taste and adjust by adding more for extra tang.
  3. Season. Add a pinch of salt and white or black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Adjust consistency. Add more mayo for thickness or a splash of vinegar/water for a thinner texture.
  5. Chill. Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let flavors blend before serving.

Notes

  • Sweeter sauce? Add 1–2 extra teaspoons of honey.
  • Tangier flavor? Increase the vinegar or lemon juice.
  • Prefer mild mustard flavor? Use yellow mustard instead of Dijon.
  • Want it spicy? Add cayenne, chili flakes, or hot sauce.
  • Making it lighter? Replace half the mayo with Greek yogurt.
