Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise, preferably whole-egg
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1–2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- Pinch of salt & white pepper (black pepper works too)
Instructions
- Combine the base. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey to a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- Add acidity. Stir in 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Taste and adjust by adding more for extra tang.
- Season. Add a pinch of salt and white or black pepper. Mix well.
- Adjust consistency. Add more mayo for thickness or a splash of vinegar/water for a thinner texture.
- Chill. Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let flavors blend before serving.
Notes
- Sweeter sauce? Add 1–2 extra teaspoons of honey.
- Tangier flavor? Increase the vinegar or lemon juice.
- Prefer mild mustard flavor? Use yellow mustard instead of Dijon.
- Want it spicy? Add cayenne, chili flakes, or hot sauce.
