Description
Spooky and delicious, these Jalapeño Popper Mummies are the perfect Halloween appetizer. Creamy, cheesy, and wrapped in golden crescent roll “bandages,” they’re fun to make, kid-friendly, and always a party hit.
Ingredients
- Fresh jalapeños, halved and deseeded
- Cream cheese, softened
- Shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
- Cooked bacon bits (optional)
- Crescent roll dough
- Seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika)
- Candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds (for less spice, remove membranes).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, bacon bits, and seasonings.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the mixture.
- Slice crescent roll dough into thin strips and wrap around jalapeños, leaving space for eyes.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then add candy eyes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a milder option, use mini sweet peppers instead of jalapeños.
- Add a little hot sauce or pepper jack cheese if you want extra heat.
- Don’t wrap the dough too tightly—the filling may leak out during baking.
- Use an air fryer for a crispier finish.
