Description

Spooky and delicious, these Jalapeño Popper Mummies are the perfect Halloween appetizer. Creamy, cheesy, and wrapped in golden crescent roll “bandages,” they’re fun to make, kid-friendly, and always a party hit.

Ingredients

  • Fresh jalapeños, halved and deseeded
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
  • Cooked bacon bits (optional)
  • Crescent roll dough
  • Seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika)
  • Candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds (for less spice, remove membranes).
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, bacon bits, and seasonings.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the mixture.
  5. Slice crescent roll dough into thin strips and wrap around jalapeños, leaving space for eyes.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly, then add candy eyes.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a milder option, use mini sweet peppers instead of jalapeños.
  • Add a little hot sauce or pepper jack cheese if you want extra heat.
  • Don’t wrap the dough too tightly—the filling may leak out during baking.
  • Use an air fryer for a crispier finish.
