Crispy on the outside and tender inside, this air fryer chicken breast uses simple seasonings and a light crumb coating for a quick, flavorful dinner that works for meal prep or weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2–3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- 1 egg, beaten
- Optional: 1/2 tsp chili powder, Italian seasoning, or cayenne
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry. Brush with olive oil.
- Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; season both sides.
- Dip each breast in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs or panko.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook chicken for 8–10 minutes, flip, and cook another 6–8 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest 3–5 minutes before slicing.

- Use medium-sized chicken breasts for even cooking.
- Add Parmesan to breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
- For a low-carb version, replace breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds.
