Description

Make the juiciest, most flavorful boneless turkey breast with this easy slow cooker recipe. Tender, buttery, and perfectly seasoned, it’s a stress-free main dish ideal for holidays or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Turkey & Aromatics

  • 3 lb boneless turkey breast
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 large yellow onion, cut into ½-inch slices

Seasoning Blend

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (optional)

Garnish

  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, paprika, and turmeric.
  • Rub the seasoned butter all over the turkey breast.
  • Layer sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the onions.
  • Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove turkey and rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with herbs and serve.

Notes

  • Keep the turkey breast trussed if it comes tied—it helps it cook evenly.
  • Add lemon slices, garlic cloves, or fresh herbs under the turkey for extra flavor.
  • Use the cooking juices to make a quick gravy.
  • For golden color, broil the cooked turkey for 3–4 minutes.
  • Slice thin for sandwiches or shred for meal-prep bowls.
