Ingredients
Turkey & Aromatics
- 3 lb boneless turkey breast
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 large yellow onion, cut into ½-inch slices
Seasoning Blend
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon turmeric (optional)
Garnish
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, paprika, and turmeric.
- Rub the seasoned butter all over the turkey breast.
- Layer sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the onions.
- Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove turkey and rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with herbs and serve.

- Keep the turkey breast trussed if it comes tied—it helps it cook evenly.
- Add lemon slices, garlic cloves, or fresh herbs under the turkey for extra flavor.
