Description

Indulge in this easy King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish recipe—soft Hawaiian rolls filled with creamy cheesecake, baked golden, and topped with a sweet finish. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting or glaze)
  • Optional: fresh fruit, pie filling, or chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish. Slice rolls in half horizontally.
  2. Make filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  3. Assemble: Place bottom half of rolls in dish. Spread cheesecake mixture evenly. Top with remaining rolls.
  4. Bake: Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and filling is set.
  5. Finish: Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest filling.
  • Add fruit toppings (blueberry, cherry, or strawberry) before baking for a fruit Danish twist.
  • For a sweeter finish, whisk powdered sugar with a splash of milk for a quick glaze.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven for best texture.
