Description

Marry Me Chicken is a comforting and crowd-pleasing dish that combines tender seared chicken breasts with a rich, creamy parmesan sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian herbs. It’s quick enough for a weeknight meal yet impressive enough for date night or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained and chopped)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and sun-dried tomatoes. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Mix in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Let sauce thicken slightly.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer until chicken is cooked through (about 7–10 minutes).
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm with your favorite side.

Notes

  • Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness for quicker, more even cooking.
  • For extra crispiness, dredge chicken lightly in flour before searing.
  • Add spinach or kale for extra greens.
  • To make it lighter, substitute half-and-half or coconut milk for heavy cream.
  • Leftovers reheat best on the stove with a splash of broth to loosen the sauce.
