A hearty baked casserole loaded with meats, pasta, rich sauce, and melted cheese, delivering all the flavors of a meat lover’s pizza in one dish.
Ingredients
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ lb Italian sausage
- ½ cup pepperoni slices
- ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
- 8 oz rotini or penne pasta, cooked and drained
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or provolone (optional)
- ½ cup sliced black olives (optional)
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Cook pasta until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet; drain excess grease.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, pepper, and salt.
- Combine cooked pasta with meat sauce and half the mozzarella.
- Transfer to baking dish, top with remaining cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and optional toppings.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden, slightly crispy cheese topping.
- Add bell peppers or onions for a “supreme pizza” variation.
- Let casserole rest 5 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
