Ingredients

  • 1 pound white, deli-sliced American cheese
  • ⅔ cup milk or half-and-half
  • 34 tablespoons canned, chopped green chiles or jalapeños
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder (optional)


Instructions

  1. Chop cheese into small pieces for even melting.
  2. Heat milk in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat.
  3. Gradually add cheese to milk, stirring constantly until smooth.
  4. Stir in green chiles or jalapeños, cumin, and optional chipotle powder.
