Ingredients
- 1 pound white, deli-sliced American cheese
- ⅔ cup milk or half-and-half
- 3–4 tablespoons canned, chopped green chiles or jalapeños
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chipotle powder (optional)
Instructions
- Chop cheese into small pieces for even melting.
- Heat milk in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat.
- Gradually add cheese to milk, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Stir in green chiles or jalapeños, cumin, and optional chipotle powder.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm with chips, veggies, or tacos.
