Ingredients
- 48 frozen tater tots (about 2 per burger)
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio works best)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 slices American cheese (cut into quarters)
- Pickle slices (mini or cut into smaller pieces)
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- Optional: diced onion, shredded lettuce, or jalapeños
Instructions
- Cook tater tots – Bake or air-fry according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
- Prepare beef patties – Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Roll into small balls (about 1 tbsp each) and flatten slightly into mini patties.
- Cook patties – In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Melt cheese – Place a quarter slice of cheese on each patty while hot and let melt.
- Assemble burgers – Take one tater tot, top with a cheesy beef patty, add a pickle slice, then finish with another tater tot on top. Secure with a toothpick.
- Add condiments – Drizzle or dip into ketchup and mustard before serving.
