Description

Bite-sized, crispy, and cheesy—these Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers are the ultimate party appetizer or fun dinner idea. Easy to make, kid-friendly, and loaded with flavor!

Ingredients

  • 48 frozen tater tots (about 2 per burger)
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio works best)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices American cheese (cut into quarters)
  • Pickle slices (mini or cut into smaller pieces)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • Optional: diced onion, shredded lettuce, or jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Cook tater tots – Bake or air-fry according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Prepare beef patties – Season ground beef with salt and pepper. Roll into small balls (about 1 tbsp each) and flatten slightly into mini patties.
  3. Cook patties – In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  4. Melt cheese – Place a quarter slice of cheese on each patty while hot and let melt.
  5. Assemble burgers – Take one tater tot, top with a cheesy beef patty, add a pickle slice, then finish with another tater tot on top. Secure with a toothpick.
  6. Add condiments – Drizzle or dip into ketchup and mustard before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, air fry the tater tots.
  • Use lean beef to avoid greasy patties.
  • Customize with bacon, BBQ sauce, or spicy toppings for fun variations.
  • Prep patties ahead of time and reheat before assembly for quick serving.
  • Freeze extras and reheat in the oven or air fryer for a quick snack.
