Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for extra juiciness)
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
For the Topping:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce and ranch dressing until combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, coating each piece well.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is nearly cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Scatter the crispy fried onions over the cheese layer.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the onions are golden.
