Ingredients
- 4 strips bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 (1 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a skillet until slightly crispy. Add onion and cook until soft. Drain and cool.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion soup mix, and black pepper.
- Divide beef into 8 portions and flatten into patties.
- Add bacon-onion mixture to 4 patties, then top with remaining patties and seal edges.
- Cook on grill or skillet over medium heat for 5–6 minutes per side until done.
- Serve on buns with desired toppings.
