Ingredients
- 16 oz fettuccine or linguine
- 6 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups heavy cream
- 1½ cups whole milk
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic, sauté 1 min.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and flour; cook 1–2 min.
- Slowly whisk in cream and milk; simmer 3–4 min until thickened.
- Reduce heat; stir in Parmesan until smooth.
- Add pasta; toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Whisk continuously to prevent lumps.
- Adjust creaminess with reserved pasta water.
- Customize with herbs or extra cheese for added flavor.
