Description

Soft, chewy, and topped with a chocolate kiss, these classic Peanut Butter Blossoms are the perfect cookie for holidays, parties, or everyday snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • About 36 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, milk, and vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until combined.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it feels sticky—this helps the cookies hold their shape.
  • Use room-temperature butter for smooth mixing.
  • If you want a stronger peanut flavor, substitute half of the butter with extra peanut butter.
  • For festive flair, roll dough balls in colored sugar or sprinkles before baking.
  • Store cookies in a single layer until chocolate sets to prevent smudging.
