Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 smoked ham hocks
- 6 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- ¼ yellow onion, diced
- ½ tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes or hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
Instructions
- Trim and rinse green beans.
- Add beans and onion to slow cooker.
- Place ham hocks on top.
- Pour in chicken stock.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Cook on low 6–8 hours or high 4–5 hours until tender.
- Remove ham hocks, shred meat, and return to pot if desired.
- Stir in red wine vinegar and adjust seasoning.
