Crispy smash burger beef pressed onto flour tortillas, topped with melty cheese, fresh lettuce, pickles, and homemade burger sauce for an easy dinner idea.
Ingredients
For the Tacos
- 4 flour tortillas (6-inch)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
- 4 slices American cheese
Fresh Toppings
- ½ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 12 dill pickle chips
Homemade Burger Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Press each portion thinly and evenly onto one side of a tortilla. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place tortilla beef-side down and press firmly.
- Cook 2–3 minutes until beef develops a crispy crust. Flip, add cheese, and cook 1–2 minutes until tortilla is golden and cheese melts.
- Remove from heat. Top with lettuce, onions, pickles, and sauce. Fold and serve warm.

- Use a hot skillet for the best crispy edges
- Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed
