Description

These Spider Donuts are the perfect Halloween dessert—fun, festive, and easy to assemble. With donuts, candy eyes, and licorice legs, they’re a sweet treat that doubles as decoration for your spooky spread.

Ingredients

  • 6 glazed or frosted donuts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 chocolate donut holes
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 12 candy eyes
  • 24 black licorice strings (for spider legs)
  • Optional: sprinkles, colored frosting, or candy melts for extra decoration

Instructions

  1. Place donuts on a flat surface or serving tray.
  2. Stick a donut hole on top of each donut using frosting.
  3. Spread chocolate frosting over the donut and donut hole to cover completely.
  4. Place two candy eyes on the donut hole.
  5. Insert four licorice pieces on each side of the donut to form spider legs.
  6. Add sprinkles or colored frosting for extra decoration if desired.

Notes

  • Use pretzel sticks or Pocky instead of licorice for different spider legs.
  • Make candy eyes at home with white and black icing if you can’t find store-bought.
  • Decorate just before serving to keep the eyes and legs looking fresh.
  • Kids love helping—let them place the eyes and legs for a fun activity.
  • Use different colored frosting for unique “spider” personalities.
