Description

A hearty breakfast sandwich made with seasoned shaved steak, scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and a toasted bagel with a creamy mustard spread.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • ½ pound shaved steak
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 2 bagels, halved
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill


Instructions

  1. Toast bagel halves until lightly golden and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, and dried dill. Spread on bagels.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
  4. Add shaved steak, Montreal seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Cook until browned.
  5. Push steak to one side of the skillet and add beaten eggs. Scramble gently until just set.
  6. Layer steak, eggs, and cheese on bottom bagel halves.
  7. Close with top halves and serve warm.
