Description

Light, fluffy, and bursting with real strawberry flavor — this easy Strawberry Mousse Recipe is the perfect make-ahead dessert! No eggs, no gelatin, just pure creamy goodness.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional garnish: whipped cream, sliced strawberries, mint leaves, or white chocolate curls

Instructions

  1. Blend the strawberries: Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a blender. Blend until smooth and taste for sweetness.
  2. Thicken the puree: Pour into a saucepan and simmer on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Let cool completely.
  3. Whip the cream: In a chilled bowl, beat the cold heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  4. Fold together: Gently fold the cooled strawberry puree into the whipped cream using a spatula. Mix lightly until combined — don’t overmix.
  5. Chill and serve: Spoon the mousse into dessert glasses, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Garnish before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best natural flavor.
  • Cool the puree completely before mixing it with whipped cream to avoid deflating the mousse.
  • For a tangy twist, add a few tablespoons of Greek yogurt.
  • Make it vegan by using coconut cream and maple syrup instead of dairy cream and sugar.
  • Chill mixing bowls and beaters before whipping for the fluffiest results.
