This Taco Bell Mexican Pizza copycat recipe brings the fast-food favorite to your kitchen. Crispy tortillas, seasoned beef, beans, and melty cheese in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 8 flour tortillas (8-inch)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix)
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup taco sauce or pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar + Monterey Jack blend)
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup green onions, sliced
- ¼ cup black olives (optional)
- 2 tbsp oil (for crisping tortillas)
Instructions
- Cook the Beef – In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning with a splash of water. Cook until well combined.
- Crisp the Tortillas – Lightly fry each tortilla in oil until golden and crisp, or bake at 375°F for 5–6 minutes per side.
- Assemble the Base – Spread refried beans on one tortilla, add a layer of seasoned beef, then top with another tortilla.
- Top & Bake – Spread taco sauce on the top tortilla, sprinkle generously with cheese, and add toppings like tomatoes, green onions, and olives.
- Bake – Place pizzas on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice & Serve – Cut into wedges and enjoy warm!
