A protein-packed, fresh salad featuring tuna, chickpeas, and herbs in a creamy lemon dressing. Great for quick lunches or light dinners.
Ingredients
Dressing:
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- Few dashes hot sauce (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
Salad:
- 1 tbsp capers, drained
- 1 can tuna (in water), drained
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp minced red onion
- 3 tbsp finely chopped celery
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients.
- Flake tuna into the bowl and mix to coat.
- Add chickpeas, onion, celery, capers, and dill.
- Stir gently until fully combined. Chill or serve immediately.

- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor.
- Chill before serving to let flavors develop.
- Add avocado or tomatoes for extra freshness.
- Swap dill for parsley or basil if preferred.
