Description

Celebrate the holidays with this easy Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring! Made with leftover turkey, cream cheese, and tangy cranberry sauce wrapped in golden crescent dough

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded Swiss or mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional, for brushing the dough)

Optional Garnish: Fresh rosemary sprigs and cranberries for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Shape the Crescent Ring:
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 16 triangles. Arrange in a circle on the pan with wide ends overlapping at the center and points facing out (like a sunburst).
  3. Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, combine turkey, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add Cranberry Sauce:
Spoon the turkey mixture around the center of the dough ring, then add dollops of cranberry sauce over the top. Sprinkle green onions if desired.
  5. Fold and Seal:
Bring the pointed ends of the triangles over the filling and tuck under the center to form a ring.
  6. Bake:
Brush with beaten egg for a glossy finish. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve:
Let cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with rosemary or extra cranberries for a festive touch. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Use Leftovers: Perfect for using up leftover Thanksgiving or Christmas turkey.
  • Make Ahead: Assemble the ring, cover, and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Add a Kick: Sprinkle crushed red pepper or a little Dijon mustard in the filling for extra flavor.
  • Cheese Swap: Brie, cheddar, or gouda all melt beautifully in this dish.
  • Crispy Finish: Bake on a pizza stone for a crisper crust.
